Fin.

The rival, who has always kept an eye on Mr. V.B., having reappeared, he takes the wheelbarrow without the monks knowing what is going on behind them.

Mr. V.B. having regained some strength, he takes up his great race again. 15 leagues in 3 hours.

Having caught up with the sleeping rival, Mr. V.B. fastens his hands to the wheelbarrow while he sleeps.

Having thus employed his rival, Mr. V.B. returns to his country without further difficulty.

Once back in his country, Mr. V.B. changes his underlinen.

Happy denouement of the story of Mr. Vieux Bois. The End.
