Having once more put on his officer’s clothes, Mr. V.B. again takes the road and, finding no horse, buys a wheelbarrow for the beloved object.

Huge demonstration of energy by Mr. V.B.

Mr. V.B. having lost his footing, the wheelbarrow runs over him and races back down the mountain.

The two monks, hearing a loud noise behind them, are very worried.
